What is Radon? What makes SenSa® safe for my home?

Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas found at varying levels in the air throughout the globe. Radon gas is produced by radioactive materials present in igneous rocks in the earth. When these radioactive materials break down, the gas is released. When inhaled, the gas can contribute to the development of cancers in the lungs. SenSa® Granite is easy to care for and keep clean. SenSa®'s SenGuard™ technology allows for easy clean-up and keeps your countertops sealed and protected for 15 years. While other commercial granites require yearly sealing, SenSa® requires little maintenance. Clean your countertops with only water and a mild detergent.
