Q: How Scratch Resistant is SileStone?
|
|
There are only three natural stones (diamond, sapphire and topaz) harder than quartz. This makes that Silestone is high resistant to scratches. Taking in consideration the Mohs hardness scale, the position of the quartz is 7 (diamond is 10). Therefore, using the same knife in different surfaces, Silestone will not be scratched easily. Silestone® is high resistant to scratches, however it is recommended not to abuse its characteristics.
