Silestone® Quartz

Silestone® requires very little maintenance. Simply wipe your Silestone surface with soap and warm water on a regular basis to maintain its beauty and shine for years to come. Any pH balanced general-purpose household cleaner may be used. (e.g. Dawn Dish Soap, Windex®)

Granite

Your natural granite countertops have been treated with an impregnator and do not require any further sealing.

Your countertops are easy to clean and maintain with soap and water, or other cleaning products such as like Windex® and Fantastic®. Difficult Spots: Soak the affected area with one of the recommended cleaning products for up to 60 minutes, scrub the area, rinse thoroughly, and dry.

Marble

Natural stone countertops should be cleaned with neutral cleaners specifically designed for marble. These cleaners are concentrated pH-neutral cleaners that will not affect existing sealers or other types of coatings. Marble cleaners should never contain acid or bleach. Acids, even a light solution of vinegar and water, will etch and eventually damage many varieties of natural marble. A solution of the pH-neutral cleaner and water mixed to manufacturer instructions should be applied to the marble surface with a sponge or spray bottle.

Corian®

Although liquids cannot penetrate Corian® Solid Surface, it is best to wipe up spills as they occur. Generally, a damp microfiber cloth used with a standard household kitchen spray should remove most marks. For most residues, all you need to clean your Corian® Solid Surface countertop is warm soapy water, ammonia-based household cleaner, or a wax-free countertop cleaner. Avoid stone cleaners, however, as they can leave a waxy build-up that dulls the surface. Always clean using a circular motion.

Dekton®

Due to its practically zero porosity, the ultra-compact Dekton® surface is highly resistant to staining in day-to-day use and from chemical products. For general cleaning, Cosentino recommends the use of Fantastik® with a sponge or scouring pad. If this product is not available, the best option is to use neutral soap and water.

Laminate

Simply use a clean, damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. To remove sticky residue, scrub with a nylon brush. For tough stains, apply a baking soda/water paste. Remove the excess with a damp cloth. To remove ink or crayon marks from your countertop, use an alcohol-free solvent or nail polish remover. Use a small quantity of the product and repeat until the stain has completely disappeared. Lastly, rinse the surface and clean as usual.

Cautions for ALL materials:

Extreme heat will cause the material to crack and/or discolour.

Products containing oils or powders may leave a residue that will require extra effort to remove.

Exposure to harsh chemicals such as bleach, oven cleaners, Drano®, Liquid Plumber®, CLR®, and floor strippers may damage the polished finish and/or discolour the surface.
